DR. DANIEL LUNDBERG - President
Daniel, a fellow Deaf Minnesotan, is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Gallaudet University.  He obtained his Ph.D degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.  Dan received his BS in Biology from Gallaudet University and was a post-baccalaureate fellow at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

KRISTIN BENIEK -  Secretary
Kristin has a BA in Visual Arts from Saint Cloud State University and an AAS in Interpreting from Saint Paul College. She is a savvy traveler having visited eleven countries; four of them being in Africa. For three years Kristin worked as an art teacher in the Peace Corps at the Cape Coast School for the Deaf in GhanaShe worked with the staff and students to create a batik & tie-dye studio. Kristin is currently working as a certified Sign Language Interpreter at the University of Minnesota.



KEVIN LONG - Director & Founder

Kevin was selected to receive the Rienhard Mohn Fellowship from Bertelsmann AG, a global media company based in Germany. This 12-month fellowship abroad is awarded to five people from around the world every two years. The fellowship is similar to an executive training program. It provides the opportunity for outstanding social entrepreneurs to gain experience in the private sector so they are able to increase their professional knowledge and expertise, with the long term goal of improving the quality and reach of their social sector projects. During Kevin's training at Bertelsmann, he will learn skills that will support organizations like Global Deaf Connection to move to the next level of development. Specifically, he will be learning about re-launching brands, managing decentralized profit centers, and managing international licensing and distribution.



NORMA Y. MORAN - Director

Norma is providing financial analysis support at National Institutes of Health via Discovery Logic, Inc., a federal government contractor. After arriving in America, Norma then took diverse paths from Nevada to obtaining her BS at Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, New York) to working in Kenya as a Peace Corps Volunteer to graduating with a MA from American University (Washington DC) in International and Training Education. She is actively involved with the Deaf Professional Network, a groundbreaking online publication for deaf and hard-of-hearing professionals, and the nascent organization of Latino Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing of Metropolitan Washington. Norma believes in Marcel Proust's quote, "The real voyage of discovering does not consist in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes."
