Gift Annuities
Many donors want to make a tax deductible gift to charity, but also want to maintain or increase their level of investment income.
A charitable gift annuity from The Minneapolis Foundation can help you meet your charitable goals while providing a guaranteed income for life. Global Deaf Connection is a permanent fund with The Minneapolis Foundation (TMF). Your gift annuity with TMF will pay you a lifetime annuity and at your death, the balance will go to the Global Deaf Connection College Support Endowment.

The Minneapolis Foundation follows the annuity rates set by the American Council on Gift Annuities. Because a charitable gift is involved, they are lowerr than rates for commercial annuities. The dollar amount you receive is fixed and will not fluctuate with the market conditions. Please contact Mary Ellis Peterson at the number above for some sample rates.
A charitable gift annuity for the Global Deaf Connection College Support Endowment of The Minneapolis Foundation (TMF), is a general obligation of the Foundation. Annuity payments are made from the general assets of the Foundation and are not tied to the income earned from specific assets donated in exchange for the annuity. Note, however, that only TMF's unrestricted assets (currently in excess of $300 million) are available to meet its annuity obligations. Certain of TMF's assets are designated as permanently or temporarily restricted, and are generally not available to meet its annuity obligations.
